What are the steps to open a Pepperstone account from the UAE?
The whole process happens online on Pepperstone's UAE website. You give your details, complete the identity checks, set up the account and make a first deposit. Two choices at the set-up stage shape everything later: the account type and the base currency. Decide both before you start.
Read the company names in the client agreement before you sign. For UAE retail clients, the products are issued by Pepperstone Markets Limited in the Bahamas and introduced by Pepperstone Financial Services LLC, whose UAE CMA licence covers introduction and financial consultation. A DIFC company regulated by the DFSA (F004356) also appears in the site footer, but Pepperstone does not present it as the retail counterparty. Once that is clear, you can start your Pepperstone application.
Opening a Pepperstone account from the UAE, step by step
| Step | What you do | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Apply | Fill in the online form on Pepperstone's UAE site | The address bar shows Pepperstone's own domain |
| 2. Verify | Complete the identity checks the form asks for | Your name matches the bank account you will fund from |
| 3. Set up | Choose Standard or Razor and a base currency | AED is offered; MT4 and TradingView need Razor |
| 4. Fund | Deposit by local bank transfer, card, Apple Pay or Google Pay | Cards need at least $10; bank transfers take up to 2 business days |
What is Pepperstone's minimum deposit in the UAE?
$10, or the local equivalent. That is the minimum funding Pepperstone states for Standard and Razor accounts on its UAE site. The real floor depends on the method: Visa and Mastercard need at least $10, while transfers through its UAE local banks and Apple Pay or Google Pay show no minimum.
A $10 balance is enough to test a deposit, the platform and a withdrawal. It is not enough to trade sensible position sizes. Pepperstone itself describes about $200 as a more practical first balance, and even then you should risk only a small part of it on any one trade.
Pepperstone UAE deposit methods
| Method | Minimum | Time to arrive |
|---|---|---|
| Mashreq Bank or Barclays Bank (UAE local bank) | No minimum | Up to 2 business days |
| Visa or Mastercard | $10 | Instant |
| Apple Pay or Google Pay | No minimum | Instant |
Can I deposit and withdraw in AED with Pepperstone?
Yes. AED is one of five base currencies on Pepperstone's UAE site, alongside GBP, USD, EUR and AUD, and it is available on both Standard and Razor. Pepperstone holds local accounts at Mashreq Bank and Barclays Bank, so an AED account funded from a UAE bank keeps deposits, the balance and withdrawals in dirhams.
Two details are worth knowing. First, most of what you trade, such as gold or EUR/USD, is priced in another currency, so each profit or loss is converted into your AED balance. Second, withdrawals go back to the source you funded from, so always fund from an account in your own name.
Which brokers let you open a trading account in AED?
Two of our three brokers confirm it. Pepperstone lists AED as a base currency. Capital.com, our second pick, offers AED accounts through its UAE company, Capital Com MENA Securities Trading LLC, which holds a UAE CMA Category One dealing licence (No. 20200000176). We have no verified AED account for XS, our third pick, so ask XS before you apply. XS holds no UAE licence.
