Pepperstone vs Capital.com (2026): Which One Should You Open?

Pepperstone vs Capital.com compared on spreads, commission, platforms, minimums and regulation — with a straight answer on which suits which trader.

重點速覽

Pepperstone wins on cost and platform choice; Capital.com wins on market breadth, entry price and mobile experience. Pepperstone prices from 0.0 pips on Razor with ~$3.50 per lot per side commission and offers MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView, which makes it the better account for scalpers, EA users and anyone trading enough volume for raw pricing to pay off. Capital.com charges zero commission on spread-only pricing from 0.6 pips, opens at $20, and lists 3,000+ markets through an app built mobile-first — the better account for traders who want breadth, simplicity and phone-first execution. Both support MT4 and MT5, both are regulated by the FCA, ASIC and CySEC, and neither offers a guaranteed stop-loss. If you trade high volume on a handful of pairs, take Pepperstone. If you trade a wide range of markets from a phone, take Capital.com.

  • Cheaper at volume: Pepperstone — 0.0-pip Razor plus ~$3.50/lot/side beats spread-only once you trade enough
  • Cheaper to start: Capital.com — $20 minimum against Pepperstone's $10 minimum funding on a $0-to-open account
  • More platforms: Pepperstone — MT4, MT5, cTrader, TradingView · Capital.com — its own app, MT4, MT5, TradingView, API
  • More markets: Capital.com — 3,000+ across forex, shares, indices, commodities, crypto, ETFs and thematic baskets
  • Both are FCA, ASIC and CySEC regulated; Capital.com adds a UAE CMA licence, Pepperstone adds BaFin, DFSA and CMA Kenya
  • Neither offers a guaranteed stop-loss, and both cap retail leverage at 1:30 under FCA, ASIC and CySEC

The side-by-side

The two brokers are close on regulation and platform support, and genuinely different on cost model, entry price and market range. Those three are what should decide it.

Cost: the only comparison that pays you back

Zero commission sounds cheaper than $3.50 per lot per side. At low volume it usually is. At high volume it usually is not, and the crossover is worth finding before you pick.

Capital.com's cost is entirely in the spread, from 0.6 pips. Pepperstone's Razor account starts from 0.0 pips and charges roughly $7 per lot round turn in commission. A trader placing a handful of trades a month will barely register the difference. A trader placing many round turns a day is paying the spread difference on every single one, and that is where raw pricing pulls ahead decisively.

Work it against your own volume rather than the headline. Our raw spread vs standard guide sets out the arithmetic, and our lowest spread brokers guide compares all five brokers on the same basis.

Platforms: four versus an app

Pepperstone is the only broker we rank offering MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView together. If you run expert advisors, want cTrader's depth-of-market, or have an existing toolchain, that choice is the whole argument.

Capital.com supports MT4, MT5 and TradingView too — the claim that it lacks MetaTrader is false and worth ignoring wherever you see it — but its own app is the reason to pick it. It was built mobile-first rather than as a wrapper around a desktop terminal, and for traders who work from a phone across many markets, that difference is felt on every order.

So: platform *depth* to Pepperstone, platform *experience* to Capital.com.

Regulation: both strong, in different places

Both hold FCA, ASIC and CySEC authorisation, so on the core question of whether these are regulated firms the answer is yes for both. The differences are geographic.

Pepperstone adds BaFin (151148) in Germany, DFSA (F004356) in the UAE and CMA (128) in Kenya, on top of FCA 684312 and ASIC AFSL 414530. Capital.com adds a CMA licence in the UAE — worth naming in full as the Securities and Commodities Authority, since a bare "CMA" also names regulators in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Kenya.

For clients outside those regimes both onboard offshore: Pepperstone through Pepperstone Markets Limited (SCB Bahamas, SIA-F217) and Capital.com through Capital Com Online Investments Ltd (SCB Bahamas, SIA-F245). Check which entity your agreement actually names — that is the licence that governs your account, not the one on the homepage.

The verdict

Take Pepperstone if you trade high volume on a focused set of instruments, run expert advisors or automated strategies, scalp, or want cTrader. The raw-spread model and the four-platform choice are worth more than the extra setup.

Take Capital.com if you trade a wide range of markets, place most orders from a phone, want one simple cost number, or are starting with small size. The $20 entry and the 3,000+ market range make it the more forgiving first account.

Neither is a signals service. Our signals are broker-independent — they work on either account, and on any of the five brokers we rank. See our best broker for signals guide for how execution quality interacts with signal timing.

Opening either account

Pepperstone is registered in The Bahamas (company registration number 177174 B) and is authorised and regulated by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, licence SIA-F217. 79.6% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. This figure is entity-specific: Pepperstone publishes 72.9% under FCA and CySEC, 75.2% under BaFin, 79.6% under SCB and 75–95% under CMA, and the figure that applies to you depends on the entity your account is opened with. It offers no guaranteed stop-loss, no minimum deposit to open an account, and a minimum funding amount of $10. This is a paid affiliate link: we may earn a commission if you open an account. Capital.com runs one spread-only CFD model and states it charges no commission on trades. It supports MT4, MT5, TradingView and API access alongside its own web and mobile platforms. Capital Com Online Investments Ltd (company number 209236B) is registered in the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and authorised by the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, licence SIA-F245. 79.75% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. 常見問題

Neither is better outright. Pepperstone is better for cost at volume and platform choice — 0.0-pip Razor spreads and MT4, MT5, cTrader and TradingView. Capital.com is better for market breadth, entry price and mobile trading — 3,000+ markets, a $20 minimum and an app built mobile-first.

It depends on volume. Capital.com is zero-commission spread-only from 0.6 pips, which is cheaper at low frequency. Pepperstone's Razor account starts at 0.0 pips plus roughly $7 per lot round turn, which is cheaper once you trade enough for the spread saving to outweigh the commission.

Yes. Pepperstone supports MT4 and MT5 plus cTrader and TradingView. Capital.com supports MT4 and MT5 plus TradingView and API access alongside its own platform. The claim that Capital.com lacks MetaTrader is false.

Pepperstone has no minimum to open an account and a $10 minimum funding amount, so it is technically lower. Capital.com opens at $20. In practice both are low enough that minimum deposit should not decide it.

Yes, both hold FCA authorisation in the UK, along with ASIC in Australia and CySEC in the EU. Pepperstone adds BaFin, DFSA and CMA Kenya; Capital.com adds the UAE Securities and Commodities Authority. Outside those regimes both onboard clients through Bahamas entities.

Yes. Our signals specify an entry, take-profit and stop-loss and are broker-independent — they work on either account. Execution quality differs, which matters most for fast intraday entries.
